Mention the offer when you book. One offer per household per visit; offers can’t be combined with each other and don’t apply to work already quoted or completed. Local pricing and availability vary by location - your local Thistledown Attic Insulation team confirms the final price in writing before any work begins.
Every job is priced the same way: a free written estimate
We price the job, not the hour. Before anyone touches anything, you get the full price for the specific work in writing - no hourly meter, no membership to join, no financing to sign, and no line items added afterwards. If the number isn’t right for you, the estimate is still free and you owe us nothing.
How We Price Insulation Work
Every job at Thistledown Attic Insulation is priced job-by-job, off a free written estimate. There are no hourly rates, no plans to join, and nothing to sign up for before we show you a number. You see the full price for your specific attic, in writing, before a single panel gets moved or a single bag gets opened. That number doesn’t shift when we’re halfway through the job. It doesn’t grow because we found something we didn’t mention. The written estimate is the price, and that’s deliberate – because a homeowner who knows the whole number up front can make a real decision, and that’s the only kind of decision we think is fair to ask you to make.
What a Visit Actually Costs You to Find Out
Nothing. The estimate visit is free. One of our background-checked, uniformed technicians comes to your home, takes a look at the attic, and walks you through what they found. The visit typically runs less than an hour. At the end of it, you have a written price for the specific work your home needs. You’re not obligated to schedule anything. You can take the estimate, talk it over with your spouse, sleep on it, and call us back when you’re ready – or not call back at all. We’d rather you have the number and feel settled about it than feel rushed into anything.
When People Usually Call Us
Insulation work tends to come up in one of two situations. The first is something you noticed: energy bills that crept up over the past two winters, a bedroom that stays cold no matter how high the heat runs, or a contractor who pulled back an access panel and said “you’ve got almost nothing up here.” Those calls usually come in late fall or early spring, right when the season is proving the point.
The second situation is planning ahead. A homeowner who is about to list the house, finish the attic space, or replace the HVAC system often calls us first, because insulation affects every one of those projects. If you’re adding spray foam to seal a new duct run or topping off blown-in insulation before the inspector walks through, it helps to know the number early.
Either way, the process is the same: we come out, we look, and we give you a written price before anyone talks about scheduling. There’s no wrong time to call, and the estimate costs you nothing either way.
What You Can Expect From Us Either Way
A few things stay the same on every job, whether you found us through an offer or just called the number.
- Written price before any work starts. Always included, never conditional. The estimate is free and the price in it is the price you pay.
- The 365-Day Done Right Promise. If something isn’t right within a year of the job, we make it right. No debate, no fine print.
- Background-checked, uniformed technicians. You’ll know exactly who is walking through the door.
- Shoe covers and drop cloths inside your home. A photo of the clean-up before we leave. This is part of the Cedarwell Care Promise, not an upsell.
- Pet-safe product options. We install eight brand lines – Owens Corning, Johns Manville, Knauf, Rockwool, CertainTeed, Icynene, Demilec, and GreenFiber – which means we can match the right product to your attic and your family, including households with pets.
- A live person answers when you call, any hour of any day. No voicemail trees, no next-business-day callback.
Neil Barron has run Thistledown Attic Insulation as part of the Cedarwell family since 2003. The care standards above aren’t new policies – they’re the way the company has worked from the beginning.
Common Questions
Is the estimate really free?
Yes. A technician comes to your home, assesses your attic, and gives you a written price for the job – at no charge, and with no obligation to schedule. You’re free to say no, to think it over, or to get a second opinion. The estimate doesn’t expire the moment we walk out the door, and we won’t call you three times a day to ask if you’ve decided. Call (909) 768-6501 to set one up.
Do you offer financing or a monthly payment plan?
We don’t, and that’s a deliberate choice. Every job is priced off a free written estimate, and that written number is the only commitment we ask you to review. There are no payment plans, no subscriptions, and no financing products to sign up for. If the written estimate doesn’t work for your situation, the right move is to tell us – not to add a financial product to the conversation.
Can I combine two offers?
One offer per household per visit. The offers are listed on this page, and the estimate visit is always free regardless of which offer applies to your job. If you have a question about which offer fits your situation, ask when you call – a live person will walk you through it.
Does the price change once your crew is already in my attic?
No. The written estimate is the price. If a technician gets into the attic and finds something that wasn’t visible during the estimate visit – additional damage, a different attic configuration, something that changes the scope – we stop, come back to you with a revised written price, and get your approval before doing anything outside the original estimate. You’ll never see a surprise line item on the invoice.
